We are looking for a diligent Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. Your responsibilities will include conducting cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, managing stockroom organization, and ensuring that our inventory management systems are up-to-date and accurate. A critical aspect of this position involves ensuring that all inventory handling and storage practices adhere to Safety standards. Strong analytical skills and a meticulous approach to detail are essential for success. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system records and physical stock.
- Maintain accurate inventory data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and errors.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs.
- Ensure proper organization and storage of inventory to maximize space and facilitate access.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations, including proper Handling and storage protocols.
- Analyze inventory reports to identify trends and suggest process improvements.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure timely and accurate stock recording.
- Ensure all staff use appropriate PPE and follow Safe Lifting guidelines.
- Support the overall logistics team with accurate inventory data.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in inventory management or logistics a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency with WMS and inventory tracking software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of Safety best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as required, including moderate Lifting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with the principles of logistics and supply chain management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
