In this role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Efficient and safe operation of the reach truck is paramount to maintaining productivity and ensuring the integrity of our inventory. You will work in a high-volume distribution environment, adhering to strict safety protocols and operational procedures. This position requires precision, focus, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations. You will contribute to the overall efficiency of our storage and retrieval processes. We are looking for experienced operators who are committed to safety and possess a strong work ethic. Training on our specific systems and procedures will be provided, but a solid foundation in forklift operation is essential. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move and position pallets of goods.
- Load and unload materials from racking systems.
- Perform routine checks on the reach truck to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Accurately pick and put away inventory according to WMS instructions.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and maintaining awareness of surroundings.
- Follow traffic and stacking procedures within the warehouse.
- Must be capable of regular lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Contribute to efficient logistics operations through diligent work.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck and/or other powered industrial trucks.
- Valid forklift operator certification preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
