Join our fast-paced distribution center in Durham, North Carolina, as a Picker/Packer! This critical role involves accurately fulfilling customer orders by picking items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. As a Picker/Packer, you will be a key part of our **Logistics** team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. We emphasize a strong commitment to **Safety** and efficiency in all our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or electronic pick lists.
- Pack picked items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Operate scanning equipment to track inventory movement.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all **Safety** protocols and **PPE** requirements.
- Perform **Lifting** of products as necessary, following proper techniques.
- Notify supervisors of any inventory discrepancies or issues.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the **Logistics** department by meeting productivity standards.
- Participate in team efforts and contribute to a positive work environment.
Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse environment is preferred. Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to accurately read order details and product labels is crucial. Must be able to safely handle **Lifting** up to 40 pounds. A strong understanding of and adherence to **Safety** procedures and **PPE** usage is mandatory. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy are essential for success in this **Logistics** role.
