Join our dynamic logistics team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Jacksonville, Florida! We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to manage the efficient flow of goods into and out of our warehouse. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring timely dispatch of outgoing shipments and accurate acceptance of incoming inventory. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including unloading trucks, inspecting goods for damage, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and stocking items appropriately. For outgoing shipments, you will pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all items are correctly labeled and documented. Attention to detail is paramount in this position to maintain inventory accuracy and prevent errors. We are committed to a safe working environment and require all associates to adhere to strict safety protocols. This includes the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), safe lifting techniques, and operating warehouse machinery responsibly. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent organizational skills. Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments and verify contents against shipping documents.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record inventory movements in the warehouse management system.
- Pick, pack, and stage outgoing orders for shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment safely (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts with proper certification).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, especially concerning safety and PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Practice safe lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
- Must be able to work in a physically demanding role requiring standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
