We're hiring an Order Picker in Grand Rapids, Michigan! This position is fundamental to our warehouse operations, focusing on accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer orders. You'll be responsible for using scanning devices and pick lists to gather items from various warehouse locations, ensuring the right products are selected for shipment. Success in this role requires a sharp eye for detail, good physical stamina, and a commitment to safety. You'll work as part of a dedicated logistics team in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately select products based on order requirements using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Retrieve items from designated warehouse locations, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Stage picked orders for subsequent processing (packing, shipping).
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within your picking zones.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and procedures.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts as directed.
- Report any stock discrepancies or equipment issues to supervision.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in order picking, warehousing, or a similar logistics role is beneficial.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 45 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Team player mentality with good communication skills.
- Awareness of safety best practices, including the use of PPE.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
