We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing orders for shipment. This role is crucial to our warehouse operations, ensuring timely and correct fulfillment of customer orders. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing various warehouse equipment to locate, pick, and stage items. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform inventory counts as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to a supervisor immediately.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and the correct use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
