We are looking for a reliable and physically fit Material Handler to join our logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the movement of goods within our warehouse, ensuring the efficient flow of materials. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting inventory, stocking shelves, and assisting with order fulfillment. A strong commitment to Safety and adherence to operational procedures are essential. You will be required to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow best practices for manual handling and equipment operation. The ideal candidate possesses good physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts (if certified).
- Stack and store materials in designated areas, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Assist with receiving, identifying, and documenting incoming shipments.
- Pick and stage materials for outgoing shipments or production.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including proper Lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counting activities.
- Contribute to team efforts and support operational goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or a related logistics field.
- Ability to perform frequent and significant Lifting, typically up to 50 lbs.
- Strong physical stamina and dexterity.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
