We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to manage outgoing shipments from our Miami, Florida location. This role is integral to our logistics operations, ensuring that all orders are accurately prepared, documented, and dispatched on time. You will be responsible for coordinating with carriers, preparing shipping labels, and maintaining shipping records. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency are essential. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a vital part of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping labels and documentation for all outgoing orders.
- Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Verify order accuracy before packaging and shipping.
- Ensure all shipments are properly packed, labeled, and documented according to company and carrier requirements.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Communicate with internal departments and external customers regarding shipment status.
- Operate shipping equipment, such as pallet jacks and pallet wrappers.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
- Assist with tasks that may involve lifting, such as moving packages or preparing pallets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and generating labels.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and logistics best practices.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
