Job Summary:
Join our innovative team in Atlanta, Georgia, as an Inventory Control Specialist. This crucial role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, which is the backbone of our Logistics operations. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize inventory loss. Your expertise will help optimize stock rotation, identify slow-moving items, and improve overall warehouse efficiency. Maintaining a clean and organized stockroom is essential, and you will play a key role in implementing and enforcing Safety standards. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy. You will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary, particularly when working in areas with potential hazards. While the primary focus is on managing inventory data, some light Lifting may be involved to verify counts or move items for inspection. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder points.
  • Implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
  • Maintain organized storage of inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations.
  • Generate inventory reports and analyze data.
  • Proper use of required PPE.
  • Assist with verification of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Identify and report obsolete or damaged stock.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of warehouse Logistics and best practices.
  • Understanding of Safety protocols in a warehouse environment.
  • Willingness to wear appropriate PPE.
  • Ability to perform occasional light Lifting.
  • Effective communication skills.
