We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. This role is critical to our supply chain operations, ensuring that inventory is accurately stored, retrieved, and dispatched. You will operate various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and potentially electric pallet jacks, to load and unload trucks, move goods to and from storage areas, and assist with order fulfillment. Adherence to all safety protocols and company policies is paramount. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. You will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while operating machinery. This position involves regular Lifting of items up to 50 pounds, often with assistance. Join our growing team and contribute to the seamless operation of our logistics hub.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move and stack merchandise in designated storage areas.
- Pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and checks.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals.
- Proper use of PPE.
- Manage heavy Lifting tasks efficiently and safely.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and Logistics.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of Safety procedures.
- Familiarity with PPE requirements.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Good communication skills.
