Join our bustling San Antonio, Texas warehouse as a Material Handler! We are seeking a strong and dependable individual to manage the movement of goods within our facility. Your primary responsibilities will include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and transporting materials to and from various warehouse locations. This role is physically demanding and requires the ability to work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will be instrumental in ensuring materials are staged correctly for production or shipment, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations. A keen awareness of safety procedures and the correct use of PPE is non-negotiable. We are looking for someone who is proactive, can work well independently or as part of a team, and possesses a strong work ethic. Your contribution is vital to keeping our supply chain moving smoothly and meeting our operational goals. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing of freight.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment throughout the warehouse.
- Stage materials for production, shipping, and receiving areas.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on all equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management immediately.
- Understand and adhere to all logistics and shipping protocols.
- Be able to assist with moderate Lifting tasks when required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or operating forklifts is required.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including occasional heavy Lifting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Knowledge of basic logistics and supply chain operations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
