Join our dedicated team as a Receiving Clerk at our Baltimore, Maryland location! This role is pivotal to our warehouse operations, ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately documented, inspected, and stored. We are looking for an individual with excellent organizational skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency within our logistics framework. You will be responsible for managing the receiving dock, verifying shipments against purchase orders, and initiating the inventory process. Your meticulous work ensures the integrity of our stock and supports the seamless flow of goods through our facility.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from vendors and carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming inventory for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label received goods appropriately for storage.
- Organize and maintain the receiving area to ensure it is clean, safe, and efficient.
- Coordinate with purchasing and other departments regarding discrepancies or issues with received goods.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Capable of performing regular Lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with WMS and RF scanning devices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following safety guidelines.
- Must wear and use all required PPE diligently.
