Join our bustling warehouse facility in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, as an Order Picker! We are seeking motivated individuals to accurately and efficiently select products for customer orders. Your primary responsibility will be to pick items from warehouse shelves according to pick lists, ensuring the correct quantity and item code. This role is fundamental to our order fulfillment process and requires precision, speed, and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics. You will be responsible for ensuring that orders are picked accurately and in a timely manner to meet customer demands. This position involves significant physical activity, including walking, bending, reaching, and lifting. A commitment to safety is paramount, and you will be expected to follow all company guidelines regarding safe lifting practices and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic warehouse environment. Experience with RF scanners or other picking technologies is a plus. You will work collaboratively with team members in packing and shipping departments to ensure a seamless workflow. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is crucial for efficiency and safety. - Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or electronic pick lists.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and descriptions to ensure order accuracy.
- Use of RF scanners or other picking devices to track inventory and update order status.
- Transport picked items to designated packing or staging areas.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks or carts, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and products are properly stored.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and the use of mandated PPE.
- Collaborate with team members in packing and shipping to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Participate in regular warehouse safety training and contribute to a culture of safety awareness.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged items found during the picking process.
Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
Ability to read and interpret pick lists accurately.
Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
Capability of lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
Familiarity with RF scanners is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Understanding of warehouse logistics and safety protocols, including PPE requirements.
