We are looking for a reliable Material Handler to join our fast-paced urban **logistics** hub in New York City, New York. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and organization of materials throughout our facility. Your duties will include receiving and storing incoming goods, preparing outgoing shipments, and operating material handling equipment. This position requires a keen understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to maintaining an orderly and **safety**-conscious work environment. Adherence to all **safety** regulations, including the proper use of **PPE**, is non-negotiable. The role involves significant physical activity, including **lifting** of materials weighing up to 60 lbs, as well as bending, stooping, and reaching. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials.
- Pick, pack, and stage materials for outgoing shipments.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and accessible.
- Follow all **safety** protocols and **PPE** requirements diligently.
- Assist with **lifting** and moving heavy items.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Experience with various **logistics** equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy **lifting** (up to 60 lbs).
- Strong understanding of warehouse **safety** procedures.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to work effectively in a demanding urban environment.
