We are looking for energetic and reliable Material Handlers to join our warehouse team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this crucial role within our logistics operations, you will be responsible for the physical movement of goods, ensuring that products are sorted, packed, and prepared for shipment accurately and efficiently. Your dedication to maintaining a safe and organized workspace is essential. As a Material Handler, you will utilize various tools and equipment to move items, contributing directly to the overall productivity and success of our distribution center. We foster a culture of safety and expect all team members to actively participate in maintaining a hazard-free environment, including the correct use of PPE. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to handle significant lifting throughout your shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and sort incoming materials.
- Move materials from receiving areas to storage or processing locations.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Pack and prepare goods for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other manual equipment.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper lifting techniques.
- Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner to meet logistics demands.
- Report any damaged materials or safety concerns to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and tools.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must wear required PPE at all times, including safety shoes and vests.
- Understanding of basic logistics and supply chain concepts is beneficial.
- Team player with good communication skills.
