*Overview*
Firefly Veterinary Urgent Care is a growing veterinary practice located in idyllic Blandon County, PA. We provide compassionate, evidence-based, accessible care to dogs, cats, and small mammals (mainly rabbits and guinea pigs). We are privately-owned by veterinarians, and are looking for a new team member to help expand the practice. The ideal match for this role would be someone who is interested in a variety of cases, who likes to learn continuously, and who has excellent client communication. Surgical interest is a plus, but not required. We are committed to finding a good match, and are willing to provide mentorship to a promising candidate who may lack certain experience.
The veterinary candidate will provide comprehensive medical care, perform wound repairs (+/- surgical procedures such as gastrotomy/enterotomy, GDV, cystotomy, enucleation, etc.), and deliver compassionate pet care across a variety of species. Your dedication to animal health and well-being will be supported by state-of-the-art facilities and a collaborative environment that values continuous learning and professional growth. Our facility has in-house IDEXX laboratory equipment, in-house ultrasound, radiology, ICU/oxygen unit, and a surgical suite. We offer rehabilitation services such as cold-laser, and are expanding to offer dental services.
This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your veterinary skills in a fast-paced, rewarding setting.

* Support emergency and/or critical care cases by applying veterinary critical care experience in high-pressure situations; our goal is to stabilize, diagnose, give owners a full understanding of their options, and if needed transfer patients who require 24/7 care to a nearby referral hospital. Founders are three senior ER veterinarians who can provide training and support in this aspect.
* Maintain detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with veterinary standards and confidentiality protocols.
*Experience*
* Proven veterinary experience with a strong foundation in animal care, anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology.
* Prior exposure to veterinary urgent care environments or emergency settings is desirable, but not required.
