Night Care Attendant

The Louise-Elisabeth private seniors' residence, located in Lévis, is seeking a full-time evening care attendant. ***Candidates must hold a DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Personal Assistance in Institutions and at Home, or a RAC (Recognition of Acquired Competencies) certificate, or have accumulated 5,000 hours of experience in the last 5 years as a Personal Care Attendant + current 16-hour CPR certification + completed PDSP (Personalized Care and Support Program).*** We offer group insurance, telemedicine, an employee assistance program, and more!

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Schedule: 10/14 shifts from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with one weekend out of two.

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Comply with standards and regulations in accordance with the certification of private seniors' residences and employer policies
• Provide a range of health and hygiene care while respecting the integrity and dignity of residents, in collaboration with the team
• Respect and promote proactive care among residents

Health Care

• Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
• Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
• Respond to all emergency situations
• While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Up-to-date CPR/AED general first aid training
• PDSP Training
• AP/RPA or DEP training in assistance to people in establishments and at home
