You will be responsible for delivering high-quality sub-ducting, cabling, and blown fibre installation work as part of fixed line and wireless rollout projects.
This is a hands-on, field-based role that requires excellent teamwork, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities Install sub-ducting and ducted cabling in both new and congested infrastructure networks Perform rod, rope, and test operations on ducts to confirm pathway accessibility Install blown fibre using appropriate blowing technologies Accurately locate, identify and mark duct blockages for civils and maintenance crews Implement traffic management procedures at sites as required Work collaboratively with splicing teams to support project continuity and quality Record daily work logs, test results, design updates, and network data accurately Escalate issues promptly to ensure timely resolution and workflow continuity Perform additional duties as requested by your manager What Were Looking For Requirements Demonstrated experience in FTTx / fibre cable installation projects Technical understanding of sub-ducting, cabling and blown fibre installation best practices Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on diverse project sites Flexibility around travel and willingness to work across multiple project locations Self-motivated team player with a positive, committed attitude Strong organisational and record-keeping skills Very good English communication skills (written and verbal) While no specific educational level is mandated, applicants are expected to have completed full-time education to a reasonable xcfaprz standard All technicians must have: Safe Pass (valid and in date) or CSR (Northern Ireland) Manual Handling (valid and in date) Signing Lighting and Guarding at the roadside, SLG, (valid and in date) Full, clean drivers licence, BE category Working at Height Training (preferable) Why Join Us?
