The role holder will work closely with business sponsors, portfolio managers, operational IT teams and third-party suppliers to ensure that both day-to-day IT services and strategic change initiatives are delivered effectively, compliantly and with minimal disruption to customers and colleagues.
The successful candidate will have strong technical and delivery experience, ideally within Financial Services, and will demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities across BAU operations and complex change environments, while maintaining strong stakeholder confidence and governance About us.

Structure and manage projects through all stages of the delivery lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organisational project controls, governance and assurance frameworks.
Act as delivery lead for IT change initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered to agreed scope, timeline, cost and benefit targets.
Apply appropriate delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall or hybrid) to suit the nature and risk profile of each initiative.
Delivery of projects in accordance with agreed targets i.e.
scope, timeline, costs and benefits Use professional project management disciplines, processes and tools to mobilise projects and ensure appropriate balance between cost, quality, scope and timescales is achieved in line with expectation.
Ensure effective transition of delivered solutions into live service, including operational readiness, handover and earlylife support.
Manage and coordinate Run the Business initiatives, including minor enhancements, defect remediation, technical upgrades, regulatory changes and service improvement activities within the Claims technology landscape.
Ensure BAU work is prioritised, planned and delivered in line with agreed service levels, operational commitments and business priorities.
Work closely with operational IT, service management and support teams to maintain system stability, resilience and performance while enabling ongoing change.
Oversee the delivery of BAU changes through appropriate governance, ensuring risk, impact and dependency assessments are completed and approved.
Support incident resolution, rootcause analysis and remediation planning for significant service issues where project or change intervention is required.
Maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, business users, operational teams and third-party suppliers to ensure seamless delivery across change and BAU activities.
Lead delivery in a multi-vendor environment, ensuring clear accountability, performance management and contractual compliance Ensure appropriate quality assurance, controls and compliance are embedded across both project and BAU delivery.
Manage communications to ensure risks, issues, dependencies and financial position are visible, understood and actively managed..
Effective leadership of project teams in a multi-vendor environment What you need to be successful Education & Experience Minimum 5 years IT and Business change projects of increasing complexity, preferably within the Financial Services industry Proven experience of managing projects from a budget management and technical delivery perspective with a track record of delivering to strict target dates and/or service levels Proven experience of delivering projects in a multi-vendor environment across geographical locations.
Proven experience in delivering projects in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Proven experience in leading project teams to successfully deliver business change agendas.
Proven experience in delivering projects across business, technical and software delivery.
Proven Experience of delivering infrastructure projects to include hardware / software installations and upgrades.
Experience of working in a highly regulated environment, preferably in the Financial Services industry Strong experience delivering IT change using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Experience managing third-party suppliers across both project delivery and BAU operational change.
Strong understanding of IT service delivery, operational change and the transition from project to BAU.
Process-oriented mindset with a focus on stability, risk management, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Proven track record of achievements Experience of delivering to strict target dates and service levels.
Track record in delivery of both business and technical infrastructure projects.
Interpersonal skills Process-oriented mindset with a focus on stability, risk management, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Ability to grasp complex issues in a short space of time.
Strong team leadership skills with ability to inspire and motivate diverse team/stakeholder groups.
With a proven track record of developing and mentoring project based teams.
