To strengthen our European EHS organization, we are seeking an experienced EHS Manager Germany (f/m/d) to support our manufacturing, distribution, and on-site service operations across the country.

How you will thrive and create an impact

Reporting to the European Director EHSS&S, you will be the key link between corporate EHS and German site operations, providing both strategic direction and operational support.

  • Lead EHSS&S (Environment, Health, Safety, Security & Sustainability) topics across German operations in line with global and European strategies
  • Ensure legal compliance while driving continuous improvement
  • Strengthen a proactive safety culture
  • Identify and mitigate Serious Incident and Fatality (SIF) risks
  • Develop and maintain Safe Systems of Work (SSoW)
  • Act as the primary EHS contact for regulators and audits
  • Manage incident investigations, including root cause analysis
  • Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications
  • Partner with operations and customers to reduce risk
  • Deliver EHS training and manage third-party EHS providers

What we are looking for

  • Degree-level qualification in science, occupational safety, or a related field
  • Certification as „Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit“ (ASiG §6)
  • Fire Protection Officer qualification
  • Relevant environmental qualification
  • Lead Auditor certification (ISO 14001 & 45001)
  • Safety Culture Analysis and development, including behavior-based safety programs
  • Extensive EHS experience in a global, multi-site organization
  • Working knowledge of German occupational health and safety legislation governing agencies
  • Demonstrable application of ATEX 137 regulations within a chemical warehouse
  • Fluent German and fluent English (C1)
  • SEVESO inventory management and calculation experience would be an asset
  • Ergonomics experience would be an asset
  • Knowledge of safety in automation would be an asset

Location: Within commuting distance of Bruchsal | Work Model: Flex hybrid with weekly site visits (approx. 30% traveling across Germany and occasionally other European countries)
