Landscape Installation Foreman (Hands-On Role)

We are seeking a hands-on foreman role to lead and support landscape installation and enhancement projects for both high-end commercial and residential properties . This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both field work and operational leadership—working alongside crews, coordinating equipment, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Lead daily field operations and support crews with hands-on work when needed
• Operate and oversee the use of landscape construction equipment, including:

- Skid steers

- Compact track loaders (CTLs)

- Mini excavators

- Trenchers, augers, and other powered landscape equipment

• Ensure safe and proper equipment operation by all crew members
• Conduct safety meetings and enforce PPE and equipment protocols
• Communicate proactively with supervisor and internal teams
• Coach crew members on standards and safety
• Monitor equipment needs and any daily maintenance

What We’re Looking For

• 1 to 5 years of experience managing landscape construction projects.
• Experience operating heavy and light landscape construction equipment (skid steer, CTL, mini excavator, etc.)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work outdoors year-round and perform physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs.)
• Valid NC driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
• Must pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Education in Horticulture, Turfgrass, Landscape Management, Construction Management, or related field
