*Looking for a Full-Time Licensed Veterinary Technican:* Between 31-40 hours per week. Leadership expieirnce preferred. Employees all work as scheduling coordinators/reception roles but also care for our patients in the Feline Hyperthyroid Treatment Center. Cat care is about 60% of the job, reception type duties/desk work duties are about 40% of the job.
Schedules would require working every Tuesday. Schedules are not contracted, i.e. we work with employee preferences as much as possible. We do our best to keep schedules consistent, but cannot always guarantee the same schedule week to week, given the clinic's needs. Scheduled shifts posted at least 3 weeks in advance, often more.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Client education, phone communications, veterinary chart review, scheduling appointments, clinic communications, feline husbandry, medication administration, measuring levels of radiation post-treatment, cleaning (kennels and general janitorial), occasional urinalysis, blood pressure checks, SQ fluid administration and venipuncture. Must be comfortable speaking with clients and veterinarians giving daily patient updates, and going over patient discharge instructions.
*Hours for our clinic are scheduled are as follows:*
Sundays Closed
Mondays 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Tuesdays 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Wednesdays 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Thursdays 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Fridays 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Saturdays Flexible
All of our employees' positions _are_ a large part 'reception’ type roles, along with feline medical boarding post treatment. We are all cross trained and share each of these responsibilities. Reception/desk work duties include taking incoming calls from clients and referring veterinarians, scheduling appointments, chart review, and communicating with referring hospitals. As employees represent the face of our clinic, excellent customer service skills are a *must*. We will train you on these important communications for the initial first few months after hiring, as well as the skills regarding feline husbandry and I131 specifics.

Valid Washington State Veterinary Technician License is required.
*Skills needed:*
* Passion for working with cats and their unique instincts and temperament
* Veterinary experience is required
* Desire to learn about specialty feline husbandry and handling cats in a veterinary setting
* Excellent customer service skills, both in person and over the phone
* Excellent written communications skills; we are a paper chart facility
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* Meticulous attention to detail (maintaining accurate medical records and closely monitoring patients is crucial for a successful medical outcome)
* Self-directed (you will still have a daily guidance and deadlines for various tasks)
* Leadership expierince preferred and/or a desire to perform in a lead capacity
* Ability to lift and move 40 lbs (large bags of litter, cases of food, and heavy cats) on a regular basis
* *Dependable, excellent attendance record; timeliness and attendance are both *_*crucial *_*to the smooth operation of our facility and patient care. *
