Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support an enterprise-level federal aviation program operating within a complex, mission-critical, environment. In this role, you will work closely with government stakeholders and cross-functional teams in developing reliable, end-to-end network & system solutions. The ideal candidate will lead collaborative efforts to turn organizational goals into actionable technical strategies that optimize operational readiness within an evolving technology landscape. Responsibilities include: Perform system level design and configuration of MSNE systems including determination of hardware, operating system, and other platform specifications to meet project requirements while maintaining interoperability with existing sponsor networks. Lead recommendations that involve engineering development, integration, and interface design analysis, installation, integration, fielding and field analysis, operation, maintenance, and testing of customers communication systems and networks hardware and software. Plan large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and trade/cost studies. Develop and maintain network architecture specifications and artifacts Supports local, regional, and wide area networks (WANs), and customers communication systems and networks supporting voice, video, data, and imagery information. Identify the need for routers, switches, and encryption devices to support enterprise services Perform a variety of system engineering tasks that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation; troubleshoot unique or complex problems.
Here's what you need: 10 years' experience designing local, regional, network systems and subsystems supporting voice, video, data, and imagery information. 5 years' experience leading teams to address complex IT projects. Active Cisco Certified Network Professional (CNNP) Large enterprise environment experience Experience providing senior-level engineering support and subject matter expertise Bonus Points If You Have: PMP Experience working in NAVAIR/NAWCAD Security Clearance: DoD Top Secret Education: B.S in technical or IT discipline Work Schedule: 8am - 4pm Compensation and Benefits: The projected compensation range for this position is $150,000-190,000. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.
