The world of investing is fascinating yet complex. While hundreds of first-time investors are turning to the markets to help pay for their homes, send their children to college and secure their futures the mission of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is becoming all the more vital. GDIT is excited to support the SEC in as it seeks to protect investors, maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets, and facilitate capital formation. The SEC ISS program is a comprehensive IT program charged with operating, managing, and advancing the SEC's IT infrastructure. Our dynamic program team of IT leaders and large and small business partners is seeking bright, energetic and talented individuals to join us as we bring our innovative IT Service Delivery solutions to SEC. Currently, we are seeking a Windows Systems Administrator. The selected candidate must be a US Citizen (without dual citizenship) and able to obtain a Public Trust Suitability clearance, per contract requirements. Since 1934 the SEC has been restoring and ensuring investor confidence in our capital markets by providing investors and the markets with more reliable information and clear rules of honest dealing. Task and responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to the following: Perform day-to-day operations and management of a large Windows Server infrastructure Create PowerShell scripts to automate routine administrative tasks and provide system level reports Leverage experience to provide input to improvements (People, Process, Tools, and Technology) in the environment, and recommend innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasks Resolve complex issues independently; coordinate and communicate changes and issues with the client and team members and determine root cause Install new/rebuild existing servers, and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. Perform software installation, configuration, upgrade support, maintenance, application troubleshooting, and approved changes Provide operations and maintenance of existing PKI infrastructure and PIV/AD authentication implementation, offer suggestions for improvement and critical incident resolution Qualifications: Since 1934 the SEC has been restoring and ensuring investor confidence in our capital markets by providing investors and the markets with more reliable information and clear rules of honest dealing. Are you ready to do your part and support all Americans in this mission? To qualify, you must meet these basic qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience administrating and managing servers and systems, specializing in Windows operating systems. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and SQL Server Experience administering and knowledge of Office 365 applications (E.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, Exchange Online, Intune, Autopilot, Azure AD and/or Single Sign On (SSO)) MCSA certification or equivalent relevant experience It would be great if you also had: Experience working as a government IT contractor Extensive powershell or other scripting experience The likely salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Travel required: None.
