This is a hands-on role for a technically strong professional who enjoys being close to the work
- combining electrical design, site support, testing, commissioning, and final handover across complex projects.
This opportunity will suit anElectrical Engineer or a Qualified Electrician who has progressed intocommissioning or engineering and is comfortable operating across both design and site environments.
The Role You will be involved across the full project lifecycle, including: Electrical design development (schematics, single-line diagrams, layouts, specifications) Load calculations, cable sizing, protection coordination, and equipment selection Providing technical support to project and site teams Overseeing electrical installation works on site Leading and supporting testing, commissioning, and energisation activities Working with LV/HV systems, MCCs, motors, drives, UPS, generators, earthing and lightning protection Reviewing commissioning documentation, test results, and as-built drawings Supporting handover, client inspections, and final acceptance Projects typically includeinfrastructure, utilities, water/wastewater, and technically complex electrical installations.

What Were Looking For Qualified Electrician or a degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) 25+ years experience in electrical engineering and commissioning Strong exposure to site-based electrical works and commissioning activities Experience with HV/LV power systems and electrical distribution Ability to read, interpret, and produce electrical drawings and specifications Confident in troubleshooting issues on live sites Strong communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams Essential Requirements Living in Ireland Full, clean driving licence Fluent in spoken and written English Willingness to travel to project sites Eligible to work in Ireland Whats On Offer Salary €60,000€80,000 (DOE) Company vehicle and full benefits package Long-term career opportunity with a respected, stable Irish organisation Exposure to technically interesting, meaningful projects Supportive environment with strong engineering leadership If you are a practical, technically strong electrical engineer or commissioning professional looking for a role where your site experience genuinely matters, wed love to speak with you.Apply in confidence or contact Linkedskills for a discreet discussion.
