Lead Data Scientist Your Responsibilities: Oversee data science initiatives within a dedicated platform, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Set strategic direction, build capabilities, and manage resources including budgeting and outputs. Utilize and implement a diverse range of data science techniques, tools, and technologies. Lead ethical practices and effectively communicate data science and ethics to senior executives. Promote collaborative efforts across various functions within the organization to support data science goals. Core Responsibilities: Leverage statistical insights and develop models to advance organizational objectives through cross-functional collaboration. Conduct thorough critiques of statistical analyses and employ diverse data analytics techniques throughout the data lifecycle. Collaborate with data engineers to design and deliver impactful data products, while ensuring data quality through effective cleansing and preparation processes. Innovate by developing data science solutions to enhance organizational data practices and deliver meaningful business impact. Champion user research, identifying needs and opportunities for impactful data science products and maintaining support for scalable data science solutions. Lead the continuous development of team skills and keep abreast of data science advancements. Establish and manage ethical frameworks for data use, ensuring compliance with data governance standards. Contribute to collaborative codebases and understand varied product delivery methodologies. Who You Are: Bayer seeks candidates who possess the following qualifications: Required Qualifications: Strong academic background with experience in machine learning, AI, and statistical modeling. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R. Familiarity with tools like TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, pandas, and NumPy. Experience in statistical methods, hypothesis testing, and machine learning algorithms. Expertise in big data technologies and proficiency in SQL and database management. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in teams. Proven leadership experience in mentoring data scientists and aligning initiatives with business objectives. Strong decision-making skills. Preferred Qualifications: Analytical thinking and the ability to assess data assumptions and limitations. Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field, or a Bachelor's degree with 10 years of relevant experience. Employees can expect to earn a salary ranging from $147,040 to $220,560, with additional compensation including potential bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
