This role is part of the Collaboration Products Team that supports Kroger associates by delivering cutting-edge Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace solutions. As a Microsoft 365 Infrastructure Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a secure, resilient, and scalable collaboration environment that fosters business growth and operational excellence. Drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying security gaps, initiating automation projects, and consistently applying Microsoft 365 best practices. You'll design, evolve, and manage Microsoft 365 and Azure-based workplace services leveraging your in-depth technical expertise in Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and related collaboration platforms. Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with the AI Enablement team to facilitate the rollout and integration of Copilot and AI capabilities throughout the organization. Your responsibilities will include: Designing and implementing infrastructure project components with various teams, ensuring that solutions meet SLA, disaster recovery, monitoring, security, and scalability requirements. Ensuring that operational processes and deliverables are effectively crafted and implemented before transitioning projects to the solution support phase. Creating scripts and templates for the automatic provisioning of resources across on-premise, cloud, and distributed environments. Discovering, installing, and executing optimal processes and standards for cloud service provider offerings. Debugging complex technical issues within a stack that incorporates virtualization, containers, and microservices. Collaborating with engineering teams to support their application needs on cloud infrastructure. Defining and documenting operational procedures, processes, and scripts. Ensuring the secure operation of infrastructure technologies through tasks like security updates, vulnerability management, role access management, and configuration hardening. Assisting in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new technologies in accordance with architecture guidelines. Assessing technical and support capabilities of vendors. Providing technical leadership in establishing standards and guidelines for enterprise work. Identifying opportunities for system reliability and performance improvements. Designing, implementing, and supporting multiple complex systems or applications with concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity, and accessibility. Supporting and maintaining infrastructure solutions with the required tools and technologies. Providing necessary off-hours support (24/7) as needed. Being able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of 7 years of experience in support and/or engineering of the specific technical discipline. Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey information effectively to customers and all organizational levels. Proven capability to understand complex business problems and identify suitable technical solutions. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or equivalent work experience. Experience leading enterprise-level initiatives and projects. Proficient in diagnosing and resolving complex hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Capability to coordinate and engage in multiple cross-functional projects and initiatives. Certification within the Infrastructure Discipline. Skill in developing enhanced production monitoring and capabilities. Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft 365 products, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and related services. Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot implementation, including readiness assessments, pilots, and value measurement, as well as experience with Copilot/Graph API/plugins, Power Platform, or similar AI-driven tools. Strong collaborative skills to effectively work with both technical and non-technical teams. Experience supporting legal teams with Microsoft Purview eDiscovery operations (legal holds, searches, exports) while maintaining appropriate access controls and audit trails. Adept at developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts and Power Automate workflows to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and Directory Services. Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges. Knowledge of Microsoft Teams Rooms governance and device lifecycle management.
