We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy distribution center in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary objective is to support our logistics operations by ensuring the smooth flow of materials within the warehouse. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to Safety. As a Forklift Operator, you will be an essential part of our team, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations. We expect all employees to follow company policies, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts to move pallets, equipment, and materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport goods from receiving areas to storage, or from storage to shipping areas.
- Stack and unstack materials according to established procedures.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Follow all traffic and safety rules within the warehouse premises.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient logistics.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and knowledge of warehouse equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to wear and correctly use all required PPE.
