Our growing logistics company in Portland, Oregon, is looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to manage our outbound shipments. The Shipping Clerk will be instrumental in ensuring that all orders are processed accurately, packed securely, and dispatched in a timely manner. Key responsibilities include preparing shipping labels, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate shipping records. You will verify that the correct items and quantities are being shipped, preventing errors and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role demands a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of shipping procedures and documentation. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure that all outgoing packages meet quality standards. Familiarity with various shipping software and platforms is highly desirable. Safety is a top priority; you will be responsible for ensuring that all packing and shipping activities are conducted in accordance with company safety policies and procedures. This includes proper handling of materials and adherence to lifting guidelines. Use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory, such as safety vests and gloves.
