We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in San Diego, California. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to improve inventory accuracy. You will work closely with warehouse associates, supervisors, and management to optimize inventory management processes and minimize losses. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of inventory control principles. You will utilize various tools and systems to track inventory movements, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and possesses excellent problem-solving skills. Your contributions will directly impact operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by ensuring product availability and reducing fulfillment errors. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder points, ensuring adequate stock availability.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and policies.
- Coordinate with receiving, picking, and shipping departments to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Track and report on key inventory metrics.
- Ensure all team members adhere to PPE guidelines.
- Assist with tasks that may involve moderate Lifting of inventory items.
- Support the broader Logistics network through precise inventory management.
- Champion Safety protocols within the inventory control function.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in inventory control or a related field. Strong understanding of WMS and inventory management software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Familiarity with warehouse operations and general Logistics . Must be able to perform tasks requiring occasional Lifting up to 40 pounds. Commitment to workplace Safety and the correct use of PPE .
