Job Summary:
Our Kansas City, Missouri facility is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to maintain and repair warehouse equipment, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics hub. This role is critical for minimizing downtime and ensuring the safety and functionality of all warehouse machinery, including forklifts, conveyors, and palletizing equipment. The Warehouse Technician will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct necessary repairs. A strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of safety protocols, and experience in a warehouse environment are essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, and automated systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with warehouse machinery.
  • Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant safety standards.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and order replacements as needed.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to identify equipment needs and potential issues.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE, such as safety glasses, gloves, and hard hats.
  • Assist with material handling and lifting tasks when required, up to 70 lbs.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and safety of logistics operations through proactive equipment management.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics or electrical systems preferred.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with a variety of warehouse equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, bending, and working in various environments.
  • Understanding of logistics and operational requirements.
