Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, which is vital for our supply chain and customer fulfillment operations. You will be responsible for managing stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing improvements to our inventory management systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in inventory control, a strong understanding of warehouse logistics, and exceptional analytical skills. Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) is highly desirable. Your primary goal will be to minimize stockouts, reduce overstock, and ensure that our inventory data is precise and up-to-date. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving inventory issues. You will collaborate closely with warehouse staff, procurement, and management to optimize inventory processes. Maintaining a safe and efficient workspace is paramount, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques, is expected. Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce waste.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on stock rotation.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage the return process and ensure proper disposition of returned goods.
  • Train and mentor other staff on inventory control procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and logistics.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE requirements.
