Our growing logistics company is looking for a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate in Las Vegas, Nevada. This critical role ensures the seamless processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments. You will be responsible for managing inventory accurately, preparing goods for dispatch, and maintaining organized receiving and shipping docks. A strong understanding of logistics processes and a commitment to safety are paramount. If you are proactive, organized, and enjoy a dynamic work environment, this is the opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage and accuracy.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Log all incoming and outgoing inventory accurately into the warehouse management system.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including accurate labeling, documentation, and staging.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, drivers, and internal departments regarding shipments.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Excellent knowledge of safe Lifting practices and material handling procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks is required.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating logistics.
