Reporting and Monetization team
builds backend systems that convert every Coinbase Prime event into reliable, audit-ready records. These systems facilitate client reporting, billing, tax outputs, and generate statements for major institutional clients. As a Senior Engineer, you will lead technical initiatives that have a direct impact on Coinbase's revenue and bolster trust with our most important customers. Your Responsibilities Include: Designing and implementing new financing products and features.
Creating and developing reporting tools, monitoring systems, frameworks, and APIs.
Proposing a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems.
Collaborating with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to translate our product and technical vision into actionable quarterly roadmaps.
Writing high-quality, thoroughly tested code to meet customer needs.
What We Are Looking For: A minimum of 2+ years of experience in software engineering.
Proven experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services with a solid understanding of service-oriented architecture.
Strong coding skills with a focus on quality and testing to fulfill customer requirements.
A genuine passion for creating an open financial system that connects the world.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with blockchain technology (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.).
Experience in breaking down large monolithic applications into microservices.
Familiarity with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or Redshift.
Background in building financial, high-reliability, or security systems.

Depending on your work location, the target annual base salary for this position ranges from $152,405 to $179,300 USD. Total compensation may include equity, bonuses, and benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
