Join Our Team as a Senior Mobile Application Developer! This is a hybrid position where you will be expected to work onsite at the Austin Innovation Technical Center, GM Global Technical Center, or Sunnyvale Technical Center a minimum of three days per week. We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to create cutting-edge mobile applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. In this role, you will lead the app development lifecycle—from initial concept to deployment and ongoing support. Collaborating with UI/UX designers, product managers, and fellow engineers, your mobile development expertise will be crucial in crafting user-friendly and feature-rich applications for various mobile devices. Your Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance cross-platform mobile applications utilizing React Native. Collaborate closely with CX designers and Product Managers to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces. Implement comprehensive unit and UI tests to proactively identify and resolve potential issues. Optimize application performance by reducing rendering time and memory usage, ensuring smooth user interactions. Guide the entire application development lifecycle using industry-standard design patterns and frameworks. Incorporate automated testing and continuous deployment practices via effective CI/CD pipelines. Develop and support backend APIs using Python to ensure smooth data flow and robust business logic implementation. Proactively address software issues, including code quality and security vulnerabilities. Create and maintain detailed technical documentation in compliance with GM standards. Ensure adherence to GM policies and industry best practices throughout the development process. Exemplify GM leadership behaviors, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability. Act as a technical leader, mentoring team members and steering development efforts towards strategic goals. Your Skills & Abilities: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 6+ years of software development experience, including a minimum of 3 years in mobile application development. Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities. Proficiency in React, React Native, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, and Python. Familiarity with native development environments, such as Android Studio, IntelliJ, and Xcode. Experience with Swift and Kotlin for native development. Understanding of build pipelines, CI/CD automation, and deployment workflows. Strong knowledge of software testing and quality assurance methodologies. Proven ability to maintain and troubleshoot live applications in production settings. Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications): 8+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years in mobile application development. 3+ years of hands-on experience with React Native. Backend development proficiency using Python. Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $134,000 to $205,000, based on relevant experience and qualifications. Additionally, incentive pay programs are available based on individual and company performance. Benefits:
