Job Overview As a Data Analyst focusing on Risk Management within our Payment Services, you will play a vital role in executing complex reporting projects that aggregate and analyze substantial datasets. Your insights will directly influence critical business decisions impacting our customers and employees. You'll collaborate across the organization to identify trends, analyze risks, and formulate actionable recommendations. Key Responsibilities Collect and report data from various backend payment systems and databases using crafted queries. Analyze results to identify risks as defined by our risk framework at U.S. Bank. Support the Payment Services Chief Risk Office through metrics reporting and in-depth analysis. Leverage technology to enhance our ability to manage risk and implement effective controls. Basic Qualifications Over five years of relevant experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Preferred Skills and Experience 4+ years in SQL query development. Experience with job scheduling and automation tools like Autosys. Understanding of change management and the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Keen knowledge of operational loss, issue management, and other risk areas. Background in Payment Services or related experience. Proficient in developing complex ETL workflows using tools like Visual Studio SSIS. Familiarity with reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Strong knowledge of financial services systems, products, customers, and transactions. Experience with programming languages like Visual Basic or Python is a plus. Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Detail-oriented analytical skills for data extraction, analysis, and insight generation. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, organizational, and project management abilities. Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and comfortable with ambiguity. Self-motivated and capable of delivering results with minimal guidance. Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. This position offers a hybrid schedule requiring in-office attendance of three or more days per week, while allowing flexibility for remote work on other days.
