We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN (as-needed) Speech Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. *Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders in pediatric populations.
* Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs, incorporating evidence-based therapy techniques.
* Deliver engaging speech therapy sessions that promote communication development and functional skills.
* Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care strategies.
* Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy approaches as necessary to optimize outcomes.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
* Support early intervention initiatives by providing therapy services in various settings such as clinics, schools, or homes.
*Skills*
* Prior experience working with pediatric patients in school or clinical environments is highly preferred.
* Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques specific to early childhood development and pediatrics.
* Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to children and their families.
* Solid understanding of physiology related to speech production, swallowing mechanisms, and related anatomy.
* Ability to perform detailed patient assessments using medical terminology and diagnostic tools effectively.
* Familiarity with early intervention programs and protocols for supporting developmental milestones.
* Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educate families about therapy goals.
