Reporting and Monetization team
develops backend systems that ensure every Coinbase Prime event is transformed into dependable, audit-ready records. We provide vital services for client reporting, billing, tax outputs, and statements for major institutional crypto clients. You'll manage high-volume, event-driven pipelines that are essential to our institutional platform. As a Senior Engineer, you'll spearhead technical initiatives that have a direct influence on Coinbase’s revenue and the trust of our key customers. Your Responsibilities: Develop new services to fulfill crucial product and business requirements utilizing Golang.
Design scalable systems that address unique challenges using modern cloud technologies and industry best practices.
Formulate a long-term vision for sustaining and enhancing our backend systems and the teams that uphold them.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leaders to translate our product and technical vision into a concrete roadmap each quarter.
Produce high-quality, thoroughly tested code tailored to your customers' needs.
We are looking for: A minimum of 5 years experience in software engineering.
Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services with a solid understanding of service-oriented architecture.
Your dedication to writing top-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs.
A passion for creating an open financial system that connects the world.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience navigating rapid growth within a company (from startup to mid-size).
Familiarity with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks.
Knowledge of blockchain technology (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum).
Experience in decomposing a large monolith into microservices.
Familiarity with technologies such as Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
Experience in building financial systems with high reliability or security features.

The expected annual base salary range for this position varies based on location and is between $186,065 and $218,900 USD.
