Software Engineering Advisor
We are looking for a Software Engineering Advisor who is excited to build high-quality, automated technology solutions that help our teams move faster with confidence. In this role, you will shape engineering practices across Core Technology Solutions & Engineering, driving improvements that elevate quality, reliability, and speed. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and product partners to design automation strategies, strengthen system performance, and influence how user stories and technical requirements are defined. Your expertise will help our teams scale, learn, and deliver at a high level. Responsibilities Design, develop, and unit test software applications that align with engineering standards and quality expectations. Drive process improvements across Provider and Core Technology Solutions & Engineering organization, partnering closely with Operations and Technology Product Management. Promote proactive quality engineering practices with a focus on preventing defects rather than detecting them later. Strengthen user story maturity using data and feedback to improve completeness, clarity, and acceptance criteria. Build and evolve heat-mapping tools that help prioritize Quality and Development Engineering effort for the most impactful system interfaces. Partner with engineers and technical leaders to guide the use of best practices, industry standards, and automation strategies. Mentor and coach team members to build capability, confidence, and technical depth across the organization. Lead the advancement of automation suites, harnesses, and tooling to increase reliability and repeatability. Use empirical data to refine engineering plans, enhance design decisions, and improve how work is defined and delivered. Required Qualifications 8+ years
of experience in software automation testing and quality engineering. 3+ years
of experience working in Agile environments. Proven expertise with automation tools and frameworks including Selenium, Cucumber, Java, Cypress, and Robot Framework (Python). Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and relational databases. Experience using GitHub or other version control tools. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Ability to adapt to changing priorities with a positive, growth-oriented mindset. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred, not required). Experience within the healthcare domain. Mobile automation experience. Knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript. Exposure to cloud technologies, including AWS services such as DynamoDB, S3, and Lambda. Familiarity with Pega applications. If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
