A key part of HP's strength is to innovate how we architect and develop our systems for the changing landscape of hybrid work, AI-driven personal computing, and accelerated workloads. We are constantly looking for ways to improve the scalability of our design, infrastructure, and methodology. We are looking for a System Architect to lead and drive system technical designs and roadmaps. You will oversee and analyze key system architectural and implementation trade-offs, such as power and performance in a thermally constrained system, analyzing hardware & data flows, and driving requirements. Lead improvements in architecture, methodology and tools to improve the scalability of our system, collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams.
Responsibilities Lay out available architectural options, analyze engineering trade-offs, and articulate recommendations to meet product goals, ensuring they meet ambitious performance, security, and scalability goals across the full HW/FW/SW stack.
Design the architecture of AI systems and ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability. This includes optimizing algorithms, leveraging distributed computing frameworks, and utilizing cloud services to enable efficient and effective AI solutions.
Oversee and guide multiple design review sessions across different projects, ensuring consistency in design choices and adherence to best practices. Act as a key mentor for the team.
Decompose user facing features, experiences, and functions into associated enabling technologies.
Work cross-functionally to understand existing portfolio of technologies, derive capabilities & cost functions, and construct an overall end-to-end product solution.
Drive cross-functional alignment through technical discussions, negotiations and executive reviews. Works closely with other teams, such as data scientists, software engineers, and product managers. You will collaborate to understand requirements, identify opportunities for AI integration, and provide technical guidance throughout the development process.
Shepherd product features through idea/concept to execution.
Review, influence, and challenge architectural tradeoffs with data and innovative new ideas.
Stay up-to-date with the latest AI trends and technologies, and apply innovative solutions to products and business problems.
Qualifications BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related fields.
Strong understanding of SoC system fundamentals, including memory hierarchy, coherency, clocking, power domains, boot and reset, test, and debug methodologies.
Knowledgeable in AI workload characteristics. Experience with AI infrastructure solutions in production environments.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across organizations.
Outstanding documentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
Typically, 10-15 years experience.

$147,050
to
$230,850
USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
