Location : New York, NY Work Type : Full Time Compensation : Above market base + bonus + equity Key Responsibilities Design, build, and deploy high-performance machine learning systems, managing the entire model lifecycle from conception through maintenance. Architect and implement innovative AI solutions for natural speech interaction and real-time audio comprehension. Develop and fine-tune machine learning models focused on audio data to extract critical business insights from unstructured voice data. Create intelligent agents adept at processing real-world audio inputs effectively. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a robust AI framework, enhance tooling, and drive innovation in applications involving large language models (LLMs) and audio ML. Engage directly with customers to identify requirements, gather feedback, and deliver impactful solutions that resonate in the real world. Oversee the AI lifecycle, encompassing data acquisition, preprocessing, model training, deployment, inference, and monitoring in live environments. Contribute continuously to the improvement of ML infrastructure and processes to ensure scalability and optimal performance. Qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. 1-6 years of professional experience in machine learning engineering. Strong programming skills in Python; experience in TypeScript is a plus. Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow. Familiarity with cloud environments and infrastructure, preferably AWS. Comprehensive understanding of data pipeline design, real-time inference, and model monitoring. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with customers and stakeholders. Core Experience Proven experience in building and deploying machine learning models in production environments. Demonstrated capability to manage the complete model lifecycle from data ingestion to deployment and monitoring. Experience in audio-centric machine learning projects or fields involving unstructured data. Expertise in constructing scalable data pipelines for model training and evaluation. Familiarity with tools and technologies such as FastAPI, OpenAI APIs, Baseten, LiteLLM, LiveKit, PostgreSQL, Redis, and S3 is advantageous. Strong understanding of machine learning systems architecture, feature engineering, evaluation strategies, and deployment best practices.
