*Position Summary*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated *LIMS Database Specialist* to join our team in Fairfield, NJ. This role is critical in supporting laboratory operations through the management, maintenance, and optimization of our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Successful candidate must have 2+ years’ experience with Clinisys Element LIMS version 6 or 7, Access, IIS Server, SQL Query Server, Excel and SAP/Crystal Reports development. Candidate should have experience developing, modifying and maintaining Crystal Report based forms and instrument interfaces for data entry into the LIMS. Candidate will be responsible for the provisioning, installation, configuration and maintenance of computer systems and related infrastructure. Candidate will also develop, modify and maintain reports, Electronic Data Deliverables (EDD) and Regulatory Excel formats.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned*
* Enhance, develop, and maintain SQL Server database system.
* Create management/data reports using Crystal reports and/or Access.
* Create customized electronic data deliverables for clients as tab delimited, CSV, or Excel spreadsheets.
* Maintain and upgrade web site.
* Trouble shoot existing Access VBA programs.
* Familiar with Clinisys (Promium) Element software will be helpful.
* Other as assigned.
*Required Technical Skills and Experiences*
· Candidate must possess relational databases such as Microsoft Access and SQL Server/IIS Server.
· Candidate must possess advanced skills in computers, report development (Crystal Reports), testing experience.
· Candidate must possess strong problem solving abilities.
· Candidate must possess the ability to effectively collaborate with others and work independently.
· Candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, applied to both internal personnel and external customer interaction.
*Qualifications*
·Bachelor/Master’s degree in computer science/systems and/or information systems/technology or equivalent required. Environmental laboratory work experience in RCRA preferred; Chemistry background helpful.
*Salary*
Hampton-Clarke, Inc. offers a competitive compensation and benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) and paid time off.
· $90,000 to $120,000 per year
*References and Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol screening are required.*
