Summary of Duties:
Supporting network equipment including firewalls, routers, wireless/wifi, network printers, and necessary components to sustain business operations. Actively monitor incoming/outgoing interface messages for accurateness, operational/functional, and correct/modify when needed. Install/update printers/drivers as appropriate network/practice. Install/troubleshoot third party equipment (eg: RDS, EKG, Holter, etc.) for interfacing with NextGen Enterprise. Troubleshoot/monitor Patient Point equipment and address as necessary. Develop knowledge of clinical workflows for all offices/practices and locations. Develop expert knowledge of primary applications, secondary applications, and outside/third party applications related to or interfacing with NextGen Enterprise and/or utilities. Be familiar with all equipment related to or interfacing with NextGen applications and/or utilities and the process by which they interact or interface. Develop expert knowledge and familiarity of network infrastructure in relation to all NextGen Enterprise applications. Monitor and audit NextGen ancillary utilities, interfaces, and services for errors and/or off-line services in order to resolve errors and keep systems online for end users. Ongoing systems and applications support of all NextGen Enterprise applications, workflow modifications, planning, testing, and implementation. Assist with development testing, implementation, and maintenance of NextGen templates and documents. Creation, review, and updates of training materials including reference tools, illustrations, training checklists, etc. Participate effectively in meetings and demonstrations to enhance, streamline, develop, upgrade, and implement application relation functions and/or processes and procedures. Provide procedural and first and second tier support via remote desktop or onsite to clients, including logging incidents in tracking system. Expand knowledge and capabilities to allow for the provision of well-rounded support during MIS staff members' absences, as well as increased value to the organization overall. Training of new hires and providers on appropriate NextGen Enterprise applications while providing pertinent reference materials. Provide refresh training as needed and update/upgrade training for staff as needed. Assist with running existing reports via SQL management studio, crystal reports, and memorized NextGen Enterprise reports. Be familiar with various state/federal regulatory requirements necessary to maintain and/or update software to meet needs. Provide excellent customer service and technical support to end-users as needed. Perform after hours maintenance and troubleshooting based on business needs. Be able to be cross trained on other tasks as may be assigned and willing to rotate jobs within the department or outside of department with the score of job description. Perform other duties as assigned. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $22.00 and $29.73/hr., non-exempt; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
High school graduate or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. 2+ years of experience supporting business or clinical applications, with previous work in a healthcare or healthcare IT environment preferred. Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Practice Management (PM) systems preferred. Familiarity with peripheral equipment such as printers, scanners, signature pads, and clinical devices. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with clinical, administrative, and technical staff. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
