Join our fast-paced logistics hub in San Diego, California, as a skilled Reach Truck Operator. You will be instrumental in moving and organizing inventory within our warehouse, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of goods. This role demands precision, a strong understanding of warehouse safety, and the ability to operate specialized equipment effectively. Your daily tasks will involve navigating narrow aisles to place and retrieve pallets at various heights, contributing directly to the smooth operation of our fulfillment center. We are committed to maintaining a safe working environment and expect all team members to prioritize safety in their daily activities.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve palletized goods.
- Navigate warehouse aisles, including high racking systems, with precision.
- Perform pre-operation checks on the reach truck to ensure proper functionality.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counting as needed.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring proper placement and securing of goods.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Collaborate with other warehouse associates to optimize workflow.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift or reach truck operator certification is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing/walking.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety and adherence to all guidelines, including PPE requirements.
