We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our expanding logistics team in Salt Lake City. As a vital member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from storage areas, assisting with order fulfillment, and conducting regular equipment inspections. A strong focus on safety is paramount; adherence to all company safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This role requires proficiency in operating various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) and a solid understanding of warehouse safety protocols. Candidates should be comfortable performing tasks that may involve regular lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Experience in a high-volume logistics environment is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, and organize inventory.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Transport materials to and from various departments within the warehouse.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and staging for shipment.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with logistics operations and inventory control.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
