Job Description: As a Lead Software Tester / QA Analyst, you will define, manage, and execute the quality assurance strategy to ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions. You will lead testing efforts across the full software development lifecycle, coordinate QA resources, establish testing standards, mitigate delivery risks, and ensure systems are fully validated and ready for release through close collaboration with development, product, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and own the overall QA and testing strategy across projects and releases. Lead test planning, execution, and reporting for functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing. Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and traceability matrices. Coordinate QA activities across internal teams and external vendors. Ensure alignment between requirements, test coverage, and acceptance criteria. Manage defect tracking, prioritization, and resolution in collaboration with development teams. Establish QA standards, best practices, and test governance processes. Oversee test environments, test data preparation, and release readiness assessments. Provide risk-based testing recommendations and go/no-go input for releases. Support extended testing cycles during critical releases when required. Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance. Minimum 2 years of experience in a QA Lead, Test Lead, or similar leadership role. Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle including Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools. Experience working with automated testing frameworks and tools. Proven experience leading user acceptance testing and collaborating with business stakeholders. Experience working in healthcare or regulated environments. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail with a quality-driven mindset.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $45.00 to $65.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
