Our growing logistics operation in Fort Worth, Texas, is looking for experienced Forklift Operators to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move materials, load and unload trucks, and manage inventory within our warehouse. Precision and a strong understanding of warehouse safety are critical in this role. You will play a key part in maintaining the smooth flow of goods, ensuring that our products are handled correctly and efficiently throughout the distribution process. This is a demanding but rewarding position for individuals with a proven track record in forklift operation and warehouse logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Transport inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with loading and unloading trailers.
- Participate in inventory counts and maintain accurate records of material movement.
- Ensure all movements are performed in accordance with warehouse safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility vests.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Ability to assist with manual lifting when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Understanding of safe material handling techniques and forklift safety.
- Ability to read and interpret product labels and work orders.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and climb as needed.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to a safe working environment.
