Responsibilities:
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely and correctly labeling them.
- Verify shipping information against orders to ensure accuracy.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation using our **logistics** software.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring proper securing.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Conduct regular audits of shipping supplies and reorder as needed.
- Ensure the shipping area is clean, organized, and adheres to all **safety** regulations.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Wear appropriate **PPE** at all times, including safety shoes and gloves.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a related warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with computers and shipping software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and occasional **lifting** of up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and carrier requirements is a plus.
