Join our dynamic logistics team in Charlotte, North Carolina, as a Material Handler! We are looking for a hardworking and reliable individual to manage the movement and organization of goods within our busy warehouse. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient flow of materials, from receiving to put-away, and preparing items for outbound shipments. You will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, stocking shelves, picking and staging orders, and maintaining a safe and orderly work environment. A strong commitment to safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is non-negotiable. This position requires the ability to perform consistent lifting and requires physical stamina. Excellent teamwork and communication skills are important, as you will collaborate closely with other warehouse associates. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Stock items accurately into designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and prepare materials for outbound orders.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines, including the use of PPE.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Certification to operate forklifts or other powered industrial trucks is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Good understanding of warehouse safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
