Our Boston, Massachusetts location is seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team. This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counting, stock adjustments, discrepancy investigations, and reconciliation. You will work closely with the warehouse team to implement best practices in inventory control and ensure optimal stock levels. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach are essential for success. Adherence to all safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. While this role is less physically demanding than others, it requires sharp organizational abilities and a deep understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. You will play a key role in reducing inventory variances and improving overall operational efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Perform stock adjustments and maintain accurate inventory records in the system.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure accuracy of put-away and picking locations.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper material handling and storage.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Generate reports on inventory status and variances.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and systems.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Familiarity with logistics and warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
